My Top Five Favorite Anime/Cartoon's

Hello there. It's been a while, I know. For this post I decided to keep it rather simple and just list my top 5 anime/cartoon's of all time. Notice that they are in no particular order, as they are all awesome and choosing just one as my all-time favorite would drive me crazy (well, more crazy than I already am). So, here they are (drumroll please).

 VISION OF ESCAFLOWNE/ESCAFLOWNE
The series follows a teenage high school girl named Hitomi, who finds herself pulled from Earth to the planet Gaea when a boy named Van appears on the high school track while battling a dragon. In Gaea, she is caught in the middle of a war as the Zaibach Empire attempts to take over Gaea. Van (King of Fanelia), with aid from Allen (an Asturian Knight), commands his mystical mech Escaflowne in the struggle to stop the Zaibach Empire. Hitomi's fortune telling powers blossom in Gaea as she becomes the key to awakening Escaflowne and to stopping Zaibach's plans. (Info from Wikipedia.com)

If I had to choose one anime series to rule them all...er I mean as my favorite, there's a big chance this would be it. Escaflowne released in 1993 as a 26 episode series. It's unfortunate that so many people, even anime fans, do not know this wonderful anime. It's an action packed series with a great story that keeps you entertained until the very last episode. If you haven't seen it, then you are seriously missing out. It cost's a measly 20 dollars or less at Amazon. (Let's just not talk about the horrible movie that followed).

 Avatar: The Last Airbender

Avatar: The Last Airbender is set in an alternate world in which the "nations" are divided along the lines of elements: the Water Nation, the Earth Nation, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nation. The titular Avatar was supreme master of the four elements and was predestined to protect the rest of his world against the evil Fire Nation. Abruptly disappearing from view, the Avatar resurfaced in the form of 12-year-old Aang, the last of the Airbender tribe. Discovered frozen in ice near the South Pole by two young members of the Water tribe, Katara and Sokka, the irresponsible Aang had to summon up enough strength -- and self-esteem -- to do battle against the villainous Firebenders. (Info from Fandango.com)

Whenever someone (which is rare) tell's me that they don't watch Avatar: The Last Airbender, I can't  help but stare at them in utter confusion. How could anyone not watch this awesome series? It has action, humor, heart, great story, and awesome characters. While Aang isn't really my favorite character, the cast surrounding him is second to none. Katara grow's so much during the series and is just pre badass (She is the only one who consistently beat's Azula). And how about Toph? She is the source of so many laugh's and funny moment's. Soka is a great source of comic relief, and like his sister, grows a lot during the story. He's funny moment's don't feel forced or rushed, unlike another certain Avatar character cough... Bolin...cough.
And now that I'm on the subject, am I the only one who would love to see these awesome fight's?

Boomi vs. Toph
Boomi vs. Iroh
Katara Vs. Toph

Naruto/Naruto Shippuden

The plot tells the story of Naruto Uzumaki, an adolescent ninja who constantly searches for recognition and dreams to become the Hokage, the ninja in his village who is acknowledged as the leader and the strongest of all. The series is based on a one-shot comic by Kishimoto that was published in the August 1997 issue of Akamaru Jump. (Source: Wikpidia.com)

In my opinion no other anime series has created a more rich and diverse world than Naruto. The variety of jutsus. taijutsu's, and genjutsu's is just crazy. Shadow clone Jutsu anyone? Sure, the show can drag on at times, but it's still a blast to follow. Shippuden is where the show really hit its stride. So many awesome battle's take place in Shippuden. (Pein vs Naruto, Pein vs. Jirayah, Killer Bee vs. Kisame, Raikage vs. Anyone). In Shippuden we also get to see Naruto finally grow up into a capable fighter, able to take on S-class ninja (even though he's technically still a Genin).

It's not only the fight's. It's always nice to see someone who has been dealt a bad (and I do mean bad) hand in life, and still fight to better himself. Not only does Naruto better himself, he (almost) always does it with a smile and an upbeat attitude.  In the original Naruto it's interesting to see the path's that both Naruto and Gaara took. They both were dealt very similar hand's, but while Naruto used the negativity that people had toward him to challenge himself to become better, Gaara did not. Gaara used the hatred toward him to breed more hatred. Not until he met Naruto did his view in life change.
Plus any Tv Show with the best anime character of all time has to be in my top 5. MINATO!!!!!!

Digimon Season's 1 &2

Digimon involves of boys and girls being whisked to a parallel reality called the Digital World (sometimes called "DigiWorld" for short) while at summer camp. They were taken there because they were chosen to become DigiDestined, the children that would save the Digital World (along with Earth near the end of the series) from the evil forces that threatened to destroy it. Each of the children received a Digimon partner who waspreprogrammed to be bonded to them, as well as miniature devices called Digivices. With the power of the Digivices, their Digimon partners could become stronger forms to battle enemies or save their partners from danger. (Info from: Digimonwiki.com)

Ahhhhh...Digimon. I grew up watching this series, eagerly awaiting to see what the Digimon's next eveloution looked like. And now, I'm showing this show to my son (He love's it too!).

The Simpsons
The Simpsons is a satirical parody of a middle class American lifestyle epitomized by its family of the same name, which consists of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie The show is set in the fictional town of Springfield and parodies American culture, society, television, and many aspects of the human condition (Info from: Wikipedia.com)

With all the anime pic's on my top 5, you guy's probably didn't see this one coming. Well, you should have. The Simpsons is funny and always a joy to watch. Plus it bring's back memories.

SO,What show's are you guy's favorite's?
